The Uluit: Champions of the North
Filmed in Inukjuak (Nunavik), this character driven documentary series follows The Uluit, a female Inuit hockey team made up of daughters, mothers and grandmothers bonded by a sport they love and a way of life they cherish. This is the emotional story of a group of extraordinary indigenous women who represent all facets of their community and their history. The intimate access access allows us to follow these women in their everyday life as they struggle, overcome and celebrate – on their way to win the 2010 Great Whale Hockey Cup. The Uluit are Inuit women as you’ve never seen them before.
